Today, June 20th, marks the official 20th anniversary of Deftones‘ platinum album “White Pony“. The now much-revered effort went on to spawn the band’s only Grammy winning single (“Elite“) and would go on to influence generations of musicians. The group have a number of plans in store for the effort and among the first of them to emerge is today’s reveal of a 20th anniversary merch capsule for the record. You can check that out at this location.

This Monday, June 22nd, the band will host a global listening party for the album. Furthermore, later in the year a 20th anniversary edition of the album will be released with a new companion effort dubbed “Black Stallion” that will feature select tracks from it remixed by guest collaborators.

If you’ve missed some of the many articles penned around the album and its anniversary lately, there’s an extensive oral history to be found a collection of tributes from musicians, actors, wrestlers and more.
