Country music superstars Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have instilled many important values into their three daughters. One quality— being charitable— has especially struck a chord with their 21-year-old middle daughter, Maggie McGraw.

“I think I grew up with a mentality that it’s kind of an obligation for you if you have more than other people, to give back,” Maggie shared with Us Weekly  while promoting Feed the Front Line Presented by CMT, which aired on Wednesday (5/20). “It’s always been instilled in my conscience, but I think this is probably the time I’ve truly acted on it, like independently outside from, like, high school and volunteering.”

The virtual concert raised funds to aid medical professionals and essential workers during the current COVID-19 pandemic, while also supporting local restaurants. Maggie, who recently graduated from Stanford University, serves as the vice president of Feed the Frontline‘s Nashville chapter. The event featured artists such as Carrie Underwood, Jon Pardi, Scotty McCreery, and many more!

“This is like a really independent project of mine and aside from my family as well,” she told the outlet. “It’s definitely always been something I valued and something I thought was extremely important for anyone who has privilege to participate in. So this is the first time I’ve actually really spearheaded something myself and gotten really excited about something.”

As can be expected, Maggie recruited her famous parents to become involved in the push and perform.

“I knew they had a lot more connections than any of us did on the team and so I was like, ‘If any of your friends want to do this, please let me know, reach out to them.’ They were very willing to reach out to people, very willing to do videos for us, very involved in the process,” Maggie added.

In additions to working with Feed the Frontline, Maggie plans to return to Stanford University to earn her master’s degree. Watch Maggie McGraw talk with Access Hollywood about growing up, her band, future plans, and more below!
