Tribulation Released a Stop-Motion Video for Their Blue Öyster Cult Cover

Tribulation, the Swedish gothic metal band, is preparing to release their latest EP, “Hamartia,” and to celebrate, they have released a chilling new video for their single, “Vengeance (The Pact).” Produced by Selmer Kastalje, the video’s claymation and stop-motion visuals have an old-school horror movie feel that perfectly complements the song’s haunting melody.

Adam Zaars, the guitarist for Tribulation, explained that the video’s aesthetic was intentional, designed to match the tone and mood of the song. “Vengeance (The Pact)” is a dark and foreboding track that explores themes of revenge and the supernatural. The video’s eerie visuals perfectly capture the sense of unease and dread that permeates the song.

Tribulation has been a mainstay in the Swedish metal scene since their formation in 2004. Their sound blends elements of gothic rock, death metal, and classic heavy metal, resulting in a unique and distinctive style that has earned them a devoted fanbase around the world.

“Hamartia,” the band’s latest EP, is their first release since their critically acclaimed 2018 album, “Down Below.” The EP features three new tracks, including “Vengeance (The Pact),” as well as a cover of “Hour of the Wolf” by Swedish punk rock legends, Ebba Grön.

Despite the EP’s short runtime, Tribulation has packed it with plenty of atmosphere and intensity. The band’s signature blend of macabre imagery and soaring melodies is on full display, making “Hamartia” a must-listen for fans of gothic metal and horror-themed music.

With the release of the “Vengeance (The Pact)” video and the impending release of “Hamartia,” Tribulation is poised to make a big splash in the metal world once again. Whether you’re a longtime fan of the band or a newcomer to their sound, there’s never been a better time to experience the haunting and unforgettable music of Tribulation.
