    Pearl Piccolo snare drum
Ordered the Pearl Piccolo snare drum, black steel and it was delivered the next day (amazing). I have played drums for 47 years, actually my first set of drums were Pearl, so when I read the reviews of this snare and the price, I had to order it. Out of the box, a little tuning and I have the best sounding snare I have ever owned regardless of price. This is an amazing snare drum. I would recommend this snare for any type music, I am mostly into classis rock and it works fine as well as any other style as you can tune this thing high or low and it still sounds great. I love the crisp driving sound of the drum. Thanks Pearl for making such an affordable, top of the line snare.JJtec (Johnny)

If you are looking for a piccolo snare to add to your kit, this is the one to get.
I love the higher pitched sound this snare makes. It’s is simply a remarkable snare drum.

  3. Dave

    Excellent and affordable Piccolo Snare
This drum is excellent. It has a great attack to it and a lot of “pop.” It’s versatile and can be used in any style of music. However, it’s best applied to ska, reggae, Latin, and jazz. If you use a lot of rim shots you will love this drum! Also, the price cannot be beat for the value of the instrument.Suggestion: Use a Remo Ambassador with this drum.WARNING: Don’t tune too tightly!! It’s tempting since it’s such a highly pitched drum, but tuning it too high is bad for the drum (and the head).

    Love this little guy!
I’ve had lots of snare drums but this is my first piccolo and I love it! It has a marvelous crack with the snares on but I love it even more with them disengaged. Great sounding drum! The snare throw off is well made and moves easily. The size is fantastic…easy to transport and light to carry. The finish looks good, hoops are quality. I highly recommend.

  5. Fred

    Awesome snare
Pearl makes a fine snare. I was happy it came with Remo ambassador head for the batter and clear thin ambassador on the reso. These are the same heads I use on all my snares (6 now). Tuned up in 15 min or so and it sounds great. I use it for a practice snare as it’s crisp, snappy, as not quite as load as a 5 or 6 inch metal snare. All in all you can’t go wrong with a higher end pearl.

  6. Auston

    Crisp!
I’ve had this for several years (like 8) now and it is my favorite drum. I think I bought some REMO drum heads for it but nonetheless, this is a great drum for the money.

  7. Stephen R.

    Great and extremely loud
I got this for my drummer. He was worried about it not having a dampener. After trying it out he said he loves it.
