Works Excellent On My 5-String Bass
I’m a bass player with a 5-string bass. I was looking for more sustain, not the compression so much. First I bought the Behringer CS400 Compressor/Sustainer pedal to try to save some money. It cost about $21. After a few days of playing through the pedal, I noticed high levels of audible distortion. It was as if this thing was a distortion pedal. I thought it was a dying battery so I tried a new one, then an external power supply, but it was no use. The distortion was so loud that I simply could not use the pedal at all if I wanted a clean sound. I don’t recall distortion being there when I first started using this pedal, but it was there now, loud and clear. The pedal had become completely useless to me.I then reluctantly forked over a Benjamin Franklin for this Boss CS-3 pedal. As soon as I plucked the first note, there was sweet sustain with no audible distortion to my ears. I’ve been playing through it for several days now and it is still as clean as it was on day 1. Now I have a true compressor/sustain pedal. I should have just bought this in the first place instead of wasting $21 on a cheaper knock-off.The moral of the story: Buy the Boss pedal first, don’t waste your money on cheaper models.

Good pedal to have
Great for what it does. I placed it after the noise gate and before any other pedals. It actually works really well for me with every knob set close to 12’oclock

Decent compressor but JHS 3 series is better
I have been using the CS-3 for a couple of months now and it is a good, useful pedal as most all Boss pedals are, but I recently got a really good deal on a JHS 3-series compressor and it is better. Less noise and the bright switch sounds better than cranking the tone knob does on the boss. They both squeeze about as much as you would care to. I got a new JHS for $66 on a private offer from an eBay seller, but it would be a better choice even at the full $99 retail.

Tight 💪
This pedal is definitely required on your board, especially if you play clean. It’s really cheap as well for the quality, 10/10

Works as intended. Be sure to use the correct type of cable
I mistakenly used a “TRS” style cable (with 2 rings), when this pedal requires a “TS” style cable (1 ring).Be sure to use the correct cable.

Way better than those cheap compressors
I bought this to replace a Joyo compressor that I’ve had for many years. I thought that the Joyo sounded fine, but the switch had become glitchy. I figured that as long as I’m replacing it I should upgrade to the Boss. I was not expecting the Boss to sound so much better! Less hiss, much longer sustain, and a tone control. Spend the extra $ get the Boss, you wont be disappointed.

Non è di semplice utilizzo, ma quando poi si impara ad utilizzarlo è molto prezioso. Pedale di qualità e resistente, come tutti i BOSS.
