    As advertised
    Highly recommend

  2. Yineli B.

    Great Tom head
This small Tom head sounds great! It was easy to tune into the right pitch. It not that thick and it’s really beautiful with its clearness and white stripes. It’s pretty durable and that’s good to protect my drums because I am a heavy hitter. This product is very versatile.

  3. John Spags

Best clear heads around as far as I am concerned
As you can see, I have a bunch of these! My favorite heads. I wish they made one for my 20″! The control outer edge helps reduce overtones. I find them to be extremely durable. I love the darker tone.

  4. noah drummeister

    Evans strikes again!
I was expecting These toms to sound great (cause duh, it’s Evans), and boy was I right! They are super punchy and tight and they look great on the kit too. So if you’re a metal/rock drummer looking for some new tom heads, these will meet all your needs!

The Best Head for Rock and Pop… Period.
I’ve been playing Tama, Pearl, Ludwig, and DW sets for over 25 years taking lessons as a young kid, was center snare at a university, did jazz in university having the opportunity to share the stage with jazz legends such as Maynard Ferguson, and performing on big stages as an opener for bands such as Blood Sweat and Tears, Gin Blossoms, Poison, etc. Hands down, with the right shells, these heads have an attack and durability perfectly suited for rock and pop music. I play strong lifting the sound out of the head and it’s hard to dimple these. I think it would take some crazy out of control thrasher guy to break/dimple these. I’d say I replace my heads on avg every two years. These heads sound absolutely fabulous in the recording studio using a neve/api style plugin or console. Put on head phones and listen to Paramore’s “That’s What You Get” and that’s the sound I get from these heads. I get a strong attack with sustained note at first and then the decay rolls off into the sunset. 14″ & 16″ toms with these heads are just amazing. I use these EC2s on both the batter and resonant sides for rock and pop. For more mellow gigs I will alternate to a coated Evans head but coated show signs of use much faster showing dirt, grime, marks, head dust, etc. I will do the coated heavy dry Evans with the little air holes around the edge on the snare to tame overtones. These EC2 heads are easy to tune and in my opinion Evans exceeds Remo heads in style, innovation, quality, and durability. As a kid growing up it was all about Remo but they have lost in the past decade not spending enough in R&D in my opinion to stay #1. Nobody will second guess you using these heads and if they do they need to be educated. Enjoy and drum on!

  6. WAJ

    Evans EC2 heads
Best heads on the planet hands down the G2 are great but the EC2 consistency and overall strength are better and the sound is also IMHO are better sounding. They give you the wet fatty yet controlled sound we are all looking for. These are my go to Tom heads all the time!

  7. Arore

    Excellent as expected – blemished
As I expected, this head worked perfectly. The store that sold this kit to me kinda mislead me on shell sizes and head quality so I wanted a full set. Unfortunately the second rack tom ended up being a 13 and not a 12. So here we are, and I’m loving the sound. Short sustain and punchy.Sad about the blemishes. It appears to be on the top ply, but I can’t find a way to make it fade. It’s as if part of the ply didn’t get coated like the rest. Not a big deal, but it is disappointing since the rest of the heads are perfect.

  8. Diana Behlmar

    Everything Awesome! Thank you.
    Everything Awesome! Thank you.

    Buen sonido.

  12. Vivek Gupta

Sounds fine when tuned properly . However coating was worn off at some places , otherwise all perfect.

  13. ALO

I had a 16″ red Evans hydro head on the floor tom. It wouldn’t give me the bottom end I wanted. Put this on and it opened up the drum sound so much I had to dampen it some. A good choice to let the drum tone out.
