These reviews are for a kit containing various screws for guitars, particularly useful for repairs and upgrades. The general sentiment is mostly positive, with several reviewers praising the kit for its variety and suitability for guitar work. Here are some insights from the reviews:

  1. Positive Aspects:

    • The kit is seen as a great find by Eddie, who appreciated finding the right screws in black for his specific needs.
    • Ross P Morgan and Greta Yurchuk both commend the kit’s usefulness for guitar upgrades and its good quality, respectively.
    • Frank notes that the set appears to be suitable for most guitars.
  2. Mixed Aspects:

    • Uncle Ledbetter Ink finds the selection decent but remarks on the softness of the screws, which can cause the heads to ring off under minimal pressure.
    • Tristin Rowland values the kit for its price and quality, but notes inconsistency in color for the 5-way switch screws.
  3. Negative Aspects:
    • Joseph Bailey has a very negative experience, citing multiple broken and stripped screws, even when using pilot holes, which significantly affected his guitar refinishing project.
    • Rick mentions that while the set is useful, the case it came in was broken.

Overall, the kit is appreciated for its affordability and usefulness, but there are concerns about durability and material quality.

  1. Eddie

    Great find for me🎸
I was missing some screws for the electronics access on back of a Ken Smith bass. Hit the jackpot and this kit had just the right screws, and in black!

  2. Uncle ledbetter Ink

They’re softer than you might think but have a decent selection.
I bought these because I’m always needing a pickguard screw, a pickup bolt, or some such screw or bolt, and you can’t really find the right one exactly at a hardware- either the thread pattern is wrong, or length just never matches. So I got these. It’s a good assortment, and they are overall the right ones for the job, but i will say they’re very soft and the heads will ring off under minimal pessure. Good to replace an existing screw or bolt, not so much to make a new one.

  3. Ross P Morgan

Match the screw size to the ones your replacing. This kit has most of them
Great little fastener kit for guitar upgrading.

    Various Guitar Screws Collection
A handy cheap solution to getting matched screws on your instruments. These ones are chrome and next time I’m ordering the black set. Good quality and just enough quantity to make this worthwhile.excellent price and timely delivery from Amazon. Always great.

  5. Rick

    Nice set. Broken case.
Great set of supplies for anyone that works on instruments. Mine came in a broken case but it will do for now.

  6. Frank

Looks like a good set – should work
Looks like a pretty good set appears to be the same or similar screws – on most guitars

  7. Joseph Bailey

Not worth the money you save
Spent weeks refinishing a guitar for a good friend of mine and was using these screws. It took forever to get this thing back to a mirror finish. I was using some of these crews for the cavity covers, string trees, and tuners. Had like 3 break, one of which caused the driver to come off and scratch the headstock, and almost every single other one stripped out while tightening. AND that’s with pilot holes drilled. These things are like made of cheap aluminum, tin or something. They certainly aren’t functional, and if you do happen to get one to work, it’s a one time use IF you can get it off. Every time I’ve had to remove one it’s been with pliers or cutting it of. Save yourself the headache for real.

  8. Tristin Rowland

    Can’t beat it
Can’t beat what you get for the price good quality to but the 5 way switch screws are not black like everything else
